This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies portugalunboxed.com uses, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others are optional and are only set if you agree.
Cookies we use

Analytics without cookies. Our visit statistics (Koko Analytics) are cookieless and run on our own server; no analytics cookies are set.
Third-party embeds
Some stories may embed maps, videos or social posts (for example Google Maps, YouTube, Instagram or X). These services can set their own cookies. We block them until you accept the relevant category in the cookie banner; until then you see a placeholder instead.
Managing your choice
You can accept, reject or fine-tune optional cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time with the cookie button at the bottom-left of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but you will be asked again.
